At the Alliance we rely on the work of our volunteers and interns to advance our mission for sustainability, health, equity and kindness. If you would like to contribute your time to our work, please consider signing up to volunteer or applying for an internship. See our descriptions below for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome you on our journey to co-create a diverse, inclusive alliance of more than one million people and organizations working together for personal transformation and fundamental systems change. We are currently expanding our efforts to inform and inspire individual and joint actions through our SHE Kindness Campaign, and we need your help!

Whether you are interested in helping us with communications/marketing, video/media production, events, administrative tasks, public policy, or another area of your expertise, there is a place for you in our volunteer team.

Sign up to let us know your interests and how you can help!

Internships

We are seeking interns that will assist with all aspects of the Alliance’s administration and projects, including website, newsletter, member emails, meetings, workshops, blogs, podcasts, resources, communications, public policy, networking, social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, SnapChat, YouTube, Instagram and blogging), fundraising, grant-writing, database, crowd-funding campaign, and forthcoming Campaign for Sustainability, Health, Equity and Kindness.

This is an outstanding opportunity to both learn about the internal operations of a nonprofit and making a big difference in the world, while also opening up possibilities for employment with the Alliance and references for other jobs.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates should have a knowledge of sustainability, a commitment to practicing sustainability, health, equity and kindness, excellent writing and communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively. They will likely be working remotely and need to be self-motivated and responsible.

It is a top priority to have a diverse, inclusive and equitable team with an environment that is welcoming, positive, respectful, supportive, empowering and collaborative in order to accomplish our mission. We seek highly motivated, capable and responsible people that will help broaden our culture as we co-create a world of sustainability, health, equity and kindness. We strive to foster an environment where everyone can bring their whole selves, by their own definition. And we strive to provide all candidates with an equitable and accessible recruitment process.

The hours and times of work are flexible (5-20 hours a week and possibly more over the summer with a possible stipend). The intern will work with the President and other staff.

Please apply by using the Google form link. Please have a cover letter,  resume, two short writing samples, and desired internship start and end dates before filling out the form.
