Sign the Pledge Today
As part of our Campaign for Sustainability, Health, Equity and Kindness (S.H.E. Kindness), we are excited to launch our S.H.E. Kindness Pledge, an effort to get a million people to make a commitment to bring about fundamental systems change through personal and organizational transformation and public policy.
We hope you will sign the pledge today and commit to four simple actions. We also hope you will become an Alliance Ambassador by getting at least 5 people to sign to reach our year-end goal of 1,000 signatures. You can give the names here.
We are building on our 40 years of success
with business,
young people and public policy
to develop
our three S.H.E. Kindness Programs
1. Akepa Youth & School Program
This innovative, scalable and cost-effective youth leadership development, education, action and creativity Program is informing, inspiring and engaging diverse middle and high school students in schools across the country, half of which are in under-served communities.
It empowers students to overcome hopelessness and eco-anxiety through a positive Akepa presentation (click Slideshow button), eBook and website encouraging them to take action, affecting their lifestyles, website encouraging them to take action, affecting their lifestyles, homes, school operations, school district and city policy.
It expands the impact through the S.H.E. Kindness Creativity Prize, Students for Sustainability, School Sustainability Teams, mentorships and service learning. Finally, it engages college students as leaders working with the schools. More
2. Business Program
We are working with a wide range of businesses to share a powerful S.H.E. Kindness Business presentation (click Slideshow button), offer training and consulting services, develop and implement a sustainability vision, assessment and action plan.
We are also engaging employees in taking action at work, home and within their community, as well as encouraging their participation in volunteer programs, mentorships, service learning and policy advocacy.
The Program was launched with a 2021 Earth Month presentation for several hundred Target employees nationwide. More
